Regional HR Business Partner







As draws to a close OCU Group continues on our journey of growth As part of this we have a new opportunity for experienced HR Business Partner to join us covering Yorkshire and the North East Reporting into the Head of HR The purpose of the role is to partner with management teams and deliver strategic business and people solutions supporting all aspects of the employee life cycle in order to improve people capability
Duties and Responsibilities
Employee Relations and Performance Management
- Ensure successful and timely resolution and mitigation of risk and litigation
- Provide advice to line managers and senior stakeholders on employee relations issues
- Provide proactive and forwardthinking support to managers and staff maintaining regular contact with managers in order to help identify and solve problems before they grow
- Progress initiatives to address employee engagement
- Manage Maternity Paternity Parental and Flexible Working requests
- Review and manage absences
- Support managers and employees in ensuring performance is effectively managed and individuals are developed
- Assist with performance management including performance improvement plans and extension of probationary periods
- Support with the development and implementation of the Performance Development Review (PDR) process
Compensation Benefits and Recruitment
- Plan and play a key role in all calendar events annual salary review process bonus scheme management/nominations
- Contribute as appropriate to the production of an overall resourcing plan covering external/internal recruitment
System Management and Reporting
- Support and make recommendations for the development of the HR & Training Database
- Work with management to identity and drive opportunities for automation and innovation of HR processes
- Produce management reports and information
Project Management
- Manage the consultation and communication process for TUPE transfers
- Provide support with drafting reviewing and maintaining HR company policies and procedures
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the HR service to the business
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable experience of working within a fastpaced HR people role
- Solid HR technical background and uptodate knowledge of employment law
- Experience of coaching line mangers to build capability and confidence
- Experience of managing TUPE transfers due diligence and effective consultation and communication
- Track record of building credible relationships at all levels
- Strong interpersonal skills with the right balance of empathy rigour and energy to manage challenges
- Excellent verbal and written skills ability to produce and deliver presentations/documentation
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Enjoy bringing new ideas and networks to the People team
- Able to travel and be flexible
- CIPD or MCIPD qualification is preferred but not essential
