Responsibilities

  • Plan deliver and assess engaging ICT lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with special educational needs
  • Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages students to explore and engage with technology
  • Develop individualized learning plans (ILPs) and adapt the curriculum to ensure all students can effectively access ICT content
  • Utilize various teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
  • Foster a classroom atmosphere that promotes collaboration creativity and critical thinking among students
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress providing constructive feedback and support to enhance their learning experience
  • Collaborate with the SEN team classroom teachers and external professionals to provide comprehensive support for students
  • Participate in school initiatives to promote digital literacy and integrate technology into various subject areas

Experience and Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching ICT preferably in a special educational needs context
  • Strong understanding of effective teaching strategies for students with learning difficulties
  • Proficient in a range of software applications and educational technologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to building positive relationships with students and staff
  • A clear DBS check
  • Legal right to work in the UK
