Job Title: Year 1 Teacher

Location:Kensington
Contract Type: FullTime Permanent
Salary: Competitive based on experience

The Role:

As a Year 1 Teacher you will play a pivotal role in helping our young learners transition from their early years to Key Stage 1. You will be responsible for creating a stimulating supportive and creative classroom environment where every child feels valued and inspired to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and wellstructured lessons that cater to the diverse needs of Year 1 pupils.
  • Support the development of literacy numeracy and social skills through creative and handson activities.
  • Monitor and assess students progress providing constructive feedback and differentiated support where needed.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages children to develop confidence independence and a love for learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues parents and carers to ensure the wellbeing and development of each child.
  • Uphold the schools values and ethos contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.

What Were Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A passion for working with young children and a commitment to their development.
  • Experience teaching in Year 1 or Key Stage 1 is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and the ability to deliver lessons creatively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative and positive approach.
  • A nurturing patient and empathetic nature able to adapt to the needs of all children.
