Science Teacher Sought for Outstanding Secondary School in Merton

We are pleased to collaborate with a highachieving secondary school in Merton recognized for its Outstanding Ofsted rating and commitment to providing a stimulating and supportive learning environment. They are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their faculty in a fulltime permanent position starting immediately.

Position Summary

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the schools thriving Science department and inspire students with a passion for scientific inquiry. The role entails:

  • Designing and delivering engaging and rigorous Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum and schools educational goals across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Fostering a love of science and developing strong scientific understanding in students.
  • Assessing student progress providing constructive feedback and implementing personalized learning strategies to maximize individual potential.
  • Collaborating with colleagues within the department and wider school community to develop and enhance the Science curriculum and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in a Sciencerelated field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level ideally across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Passionate about Science and its realworld applications with a strong commitment to student success.
  • Possesses excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently demonstrating initiative and adaptability.
