UK Head of Marketing







As the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for multi-discipline marketing functions including PR, digital marketing and design that breathe life into marketing campaigns, educate audiences and articulate positions on industry trends. At the core, you are a person who possesses the ability to distil the complicated consumer technologies into relatable concepts with all our marketing activities from social media and digital campaigns to advertising and creative projects. You will also need to command a creative presence and wield strong skills in collaboration and project management, setting and delivering our press and PR goals, working with colleagues from across the organization to ensure our media mentions and messages are consistent with our vision, values and our priorities.
In this role, you will be working with an in-house UK marketing team, West European marketing team and collaborate with an array of agencies to develop and enhance marketing strategies to grow the brand in the UK using the latest and best tools for management and measurement. This role will also lead all digital activities to support the build-out of social media initiatives integrated into overall marketing/PR campaigns and content strategies. You will also be responsible for identifying new and innovative ways of placing and amplifying content across digital and social channels.
Craft strategies for all Marketing activities, including Digital, Advertising, Communications and PR
Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for the Marketing department
Set, monitor and report on team goals
Design branding, positioning and pricing strategies
Ensure our brand message is strong and consistent across all channels and marketing efforts (like events, email campaigns, web pages and promotional material)
Analyse consumer behaviour and determine customer personas
Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share
Monitor competition (acquisitions, pricing changes and new products and features)
Coordinate sales and marketing efforts to boost brand awareness
Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
Participate in the quarterly and annual planning of company objectives Develop brand digital/social strategies and budgets to achieve desired KPIs across all channels (including Social, Search, Display and Influencer Strategy)
Build and manage KPI dashboards; analyse results and provide learnings & recommendations on performance
Oversee agency and vendor relationships
Requirements
Proven work experience as Head of Marketing, preferably within the Consumer Electronics or Telecoms industry
Experience running successful marketing campaigns at both local and national level
Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets
Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews
Must be interested and passionate about technology, highly preferred with existing experience in the consumer tech industry and tech media
Strong understanding of the brand and motivation for its unique positioning, culture and consumer dynamics. Strong capability in translating consumer insights/marketing research analysis to marketing planning.
Excellent knowledge and professionalism of digital communication highly preferred.
Ability to develop and articulate strategy recommendations. Strong business sense and analysing capability.
Ability to work accurately to tight deadlines and under pressure.
Strong relationship with local Operator and Retail partners
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrates proficiency in managing agencies and global resource.
