History Teacher Opportunity at Esteemed Secondary School in Lambeth

We are delighted to partner with a wellrespected secondary school in Lambeth recognized for its strong academic focus and inclusive learning environment. They are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate History Teacher to join their faculty on a fulltime permanent basis.

Position Summary

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in inspiring students with a love of history nurturing their critical thinking skills and developing their understanding of the pasts impact on the present. The role involves:

  • Designing and delivering engaging History lessons that align with the national curriculum and schools educational philosophy across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity inquiry and historical analysis.
  • Assessing student progress providing constructive feedback and tailoring instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborating with colleagues within the Humanities department to develop a rich and diverse curriculum.
  • Contributing to the schools extracurricular activities and fostering a sense of community.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A Bachelors degree or higher in History or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Proven experience teaching History at the secondary level.
